Gold Assaying programme was conducted for the Technical Managers of HDFC bank, at IIGJ Mumbai on 5th, 7th & 8th December 2011. There was a group of 8 trainees from Mumbai.
The training included theoretical background as well as hands-on practice for a systematic approach for evaluating the gold content of jewellery.
The purpose of the training programme was to identify fake gold jewellery which is a core issue of the bankers who advances loans against gold.
This programme was conducted by Mr. Uttamkumar Das, (HOD of Manufacturing, Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery, Mumbai.)
