IIGJ provides placement facilities to industry free of cost. The purpose of the Institute is to meet the growing demand of skilled manpower in the field of Gem & Jewellery.

To support the development of industry, at present following placement models are operational to suit industry requirements:
- Model I - In-house Placement
Industry representative can carry out in house placement in respect of our ongoing courses with prior appointment. Necessary assistance in this regard is provided by the Institute.
- Model II - Sponsoring of Names through Fax/Letter
On receipt of written demand, students graduating/already passed out from the Institute are offered by e-mail in consultation with faculty along with their address and telephone numbers wherein industry can get in touch with them directly with students.
- Model III - Direct Contact with students
On receipt of request from the industry the same is placed on the Main and Library Notice Board and copy endorsed to respective faculty. Consequently, student can directly contact the employer.
- Internship - 3 Year Diploma in Jewellery and Manufacturing Technology
Apart from the above, Diploma students will become available for internship in the year 2006, if industry is looking to train them, industry is required to furnish the following input to the Institute:
- Background of Industry/ Factory
- Post
- Number of vacancies
- Designation
- Qualification
- Experience
- Remuneration
- Any other relevant details
