  • INTRODUCTION
    The course is designed and approved by Savitribai Phule Pune University and is launched with Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) Mumbai, as training partner under Memorandum of Understanding with Savitribai Phule Pune University. This course is designed to develop high level skills and students are required to use costly material such as gemstones- diamonds, colored stones, Jewellery and pearls. This is a self-supporting course and all students are required to pay full fees including reservation category students. Bank loan facility will be provided on need basis OR Financial loans shall be facilitated through bank tie-ups by IIGJ. The course will be conducted at two different places (SPPU and IIGJ, Mumbai). No hostel facility on SPPU campus will be provided. Batch intake is of 50 students. Reservations as per Government of Maharashtra’s existing rules will be applicable.

    Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) (formerly University of Pune) in collaboration with Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) Mumbai offers a 3 -Year Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Gems & Jewellery Design. The 3-year degree course is an exhaustive course in Jewellery education. The focus of the course is to integrate your knowledge of India’s famous Gems & Jewellery industry, with the right blend of Theoretical and Practical lessons. This Course is designed for the Ambitious, Enthusiastic and Determined Career Seeking Students to enter the Jewellery industry as a Jewellery Professional.

    3 years
  • Eligibility
    Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC/Std. 12) or an equivalent to 10+2 education examination from any stream from any statutory board of education in India.
  • Who can Apply
    Students who have appeared for HSC or equivalent are also eligible to apply.
  • Fees & Dates

    CET Fee for all is Rs. 500/-

    Online Registration 20th Nov to 29th Nov 2020
    Online CommonEntrance Test (CET) 1st Dec 2020
    Counselling based on Aptitude 2nd-3rd Dec 2020

    Please Note - Entrance test will include General Aptitude, English, and Basic Drawing Skills. Students are required to keep a blank A4 sheet, color pencils (and any other drawing tools they desire) ready.
